I'm settling back into routine after our recent trip to Norfolk island. It was such a wonderful retreat, and we loved having extra tours and sightseeing mixed in to our sewing time. In fact, Ange (from GnomeAngel) and I enjoyed it so much, we're planning to do it again next year!
The island is such a beautiful community - everyone waves as you pass them driving, cows have right of way, chickens wander freely, tourists are welcomed and the locals love to share about their experience living there. It's quite an experience and so much more than an island holiday. Plus combine that with a sewing retreat - bliss!

I'm one of 9 quilters pairing up with Cotton Cuts to help raise money for the Social Justice Sewing Academy, a non-profit founded in 2017, which aims to empower people to use textile art for personal transformation, community cohesion, and as a framework for activism and social change.
Each month a different designer sews the block, then at the end of the year the quilt will be raffled off to one lucky winner!
Goodness it has been a big month! I think it's all catching up to me now and I'm suddenly feeling very tired! But it's been a bunch of good things happening, but I am glad to be settling back into routine at home. That includes a bit of sewing, and working on my slow-sew project. It's been a minute since I shared an update so here's how my Tilda Embroidery flower quilt top is looking!

Nearly done! I'll have the bottom centre panel finished today, and then only the last panel to go! I bought this one as a pre-cut quilt from Elsie Gray's. Highly recommend having it pre-cut. I couldn't image cutting all those 2.5" squares! Plus they're laser cut so they don't fray.
So that's what's on my design wall at the moment - well that and some secret stuff I can't share just yet but it won't be long and I'll let you in on all the secret squirrels things!
